The Society of International Chinese in Educational Technology (SICET) is a nonpolitical, non-profit academic organization. The organization's goal is to aggregate international Chinese scholars and experts in the field of educational technology to encourage academic cooperation and support among members. The mission of SICET is to establish and strengthen academic international connections, exchanges, research, and studies in educational technology for teaching and learning, as well as to promote the application of educational technology in Chinese education.
EITT 2017 Report
On December 9, 2017, the Sixth International Conference of Educational Innovation through Technology (EITT 2017) successfully marked its conclusion in Osaka, Japan. In 2017, the planning, call for proposals, review, publishing, and operation of EITT2017 highlighted international collaboration through Society of International Chinese in Educational Technology (SICET). The conference received support from Association of Educational Communications and Technology (AECT), Japan Society of Educational Technology (JSET) and China Association for Educational Technology (CAET). Collaborators from Northeast Normal University in China, Waseda University and Osaka University in Japan, James Madison University in USA and other universities in China, Australia, Singapore, Taiwan, Japan, and USA worked virtually, remotely and cohesively toward the success. Keynote speeches represented AECT, SICET, and JSET/Osaka University. 80 papers were presented as oral presentations or posters during the conference and were published through IEEE CPS. These will be included in IEEE Computer Society Digital Library (CSDL) and Xplore digital libraries. It was truly an international conference, with representatives of organizers, reviewers, and authors from 8 different countries and regions around the world.
