JETDE Special Theme – Call for Papers on COVID-19

Special Theme: Online Learning, Teaching and Governance of Education during the Novel Coronavirus Outbreak

As WHO officially declared COVID-19 diseases to be a pandemic, continue teaching and learning has become one of the world’s common challenges. The Journal of Educational Technology Development and Exchange (JETDE) welcomes submissions to the special theme on “Online Learning, Teaching and Governance of Education during the Novel Coronavirus Outbreak”. The accepted papers will be published in the 2nd issue of 2020.

At the end of 2019, a novel coronavirus (COVID-19) broke out in China, and as 2020 unfolds in the world, the impact of this new infection has forced the campus to close for a prolonged period of time. The Spring semester of 2020 began online in China. Teachers and students are driven to go online. More and more classes are holding online. There is an urgent need to discuss the emerging issues while all the teachers and students are involved in online teaching and online learning by the huge change. JETDE provides a platform for scholarly presentation and exchange of information between professionals, researchers, and practitioners regarding the educational and pedagogical aspects of online learning, the different online teaching approaches, the way students learn, online learning outcomes, management and governance of institutes, etc.

Manuscripts may report on original empirical studies, or best practice cases that will demonstrate validated practical experiences related to the design, development, and educational application of online teaching, learning, and management during the outbreak.

The deadline for submissions to this issue is August 30, 2020. Manuscripts should be prepared according to the Guide for Authors of the journal website and submitted online at https://aquila.usm.edu/jetde/. Please indicate in the cover letter that your submission is for “Online Learning, Teaching and Governance of Education during the Novel Coronavirus Outbreak” issue.
