Call for Papers
The 14th International Conference of Educational Innovation through Technology
(EITT2025)

The Society of International Chinese in Educational Technology (SICET)’s 14th International Conference of Educational Innovation through Technology (EITT2025) aims to provide a forum for researchers in technology and education areas to share and publish new research findings and exchange insights and experiences on related topics.

The EITT 2025 conference will be held at Tokyo City University (Yokohama Campus), Japan, on November 22-24, 2025. We call researchers, educators, technologists, and policymakers from around the globe to explore the transformative role of emerging technologies including AI in reshaping the educational landscape. You are invited to present at EITT 2025 to share your expertise and innovative practices with your peers, professional practitioners, and researchers from various disciplines around the world.

The EITT conferences have been successfully held since 2012, with EITT2012 in Beijing, China; EITT2013 in Williamsburg, Virginia, USA; EITT2014 in Brisbane, Australia; EITT2015 in Wuhan, China; EITT2016 in Tainan; EITT2017 in Osaka, Japan; EITT2018 in Auckland, New Zealand; EITT2019 in Biloxi, MS, USA; EITT2020, EITT2021, and EITT2022 virtually due to the COVID-19 global pandemic, and EITT2023 in Fujian, P.R. China, and EITT 2024 in Macau, P.R. China.

Founded in 2003, the Society of International Chinese in Educational Technology (SICET) is a nonpolitical, non-profit academic organization. The mission of the SICET is to establish and strengthen international academic connections, exchanges, research, and scholarship among members in educational technology; advocate the application of technology in educational settings; and promote international collaboration of members and other scholars in the field.

EITT2025 Conference Theme:

Learning Reimagined: Navigating the New Frontiers of Education in the Age of Artificial Intelligence

Under the theme “Learning Reimagined: Navigating the New Frontiers of Education in the Age of Artificial Intelligence,” this year’s conference aims to spark critical conversations, showcase innovative practices, and foster interdisciplinary collaboration.

We welcome original research, case studies, theoretical papers, and practical insights across (but not limited to) the following topics:

  1. Generative AI in Teaching & Learning
  2. Technology supported subject learning, STEAM, Languages, etc.
  3. Digital learning environments, including eLearning, online learning, blended learning, Immersive learning with VR/AR /MR
  4. Big data and learning analytics
  5. Global Perspectives: Cross-cultural, multilingual, and international case studies of technology implementation in education
  6. Analysis of educational technology policies
  7. Technology and student affects: motivation, engagement, interactions etc
  8. AI literacy for learners and educators
  9. Adoption of Technology: acceptance, human-technology interactions/relations, etc
  10. Assessment and research
  11. Gamification innovation
  12. Ethics and Equity: the human, cultural, and political dimensions of educational technology
  13. Technology for institutional transformation
  14. Other topics related to technology integration into instructional design, curriculum, administration, and evaluation.

Important Dates:

– Paper Submission: August 15, 2025.  Extended to September 15, 2025 

– First Round Author Notification: September 15, 2025

– Second Round Author Notification: October 10, 2025

– Author Registration Due: October 15, 2025 Extended to October 25, 2025

– Conference date: November 22-24, 2025

Conference Registration:

Please note that only papers with at least one author registered to attend the conference will be included in the EITT 2025 Proceedings, or recommended for publication in one of the three journals: International Journal of Technology in Teaching and Learning (IJTTL), the Journal of Educational Technology Development and Exchange (JETDE), or Future in Educational Research (FER) (subject to revision in accordance with each journal’s requirements; please refer to the official websites of the respective journals for detailed guidelines). The registration fee is:

  • US$480 for the first participant of a paper, and US$200 for each additional participant.
  • US$200 for participants who give a presentation at the conference without paper publication.

  2. If you do not have a SICET account, please first go to Join us and select How to become a member. Then choose Create a new account, fill in your information, and wait for approval. Once approved, you can log in to your SICET account and proceed with the conference registration.

Submission of Papers:

A paper should be prepared according to the proceedings’ template, which can be found here: conference-paper-template. It must be 4-6 pages in length, including an abstract, references, and tables/figures. Submissions should represent original and substantive research results. We will not accept any paper which, at the time of submission, is under review for or has already been published (or accepted for publication) in another conference or journal. Authors should submit their manuscripts in PDF format to EITT2025 via the EasyChair submission system (https://easychair.org/conferences?conf=eitt2025 ). Each paper submitted to EITT2025 will be double-blind reviewed based on its originality, significance, technical soundness, and quality of writing.

Publication Information:

The proceedings of EITT2025 will collect selected papers through a standard peer-review process. Only papers that are presented by an author at the conference will be included in the conference proceedings (*the registered papers of this conference will be included in the conference proceedings and will be submitted for possible inclusion into Springer. Final publication will be subject to the manuscript review by Springer. Springer CCIS is abstracted/indexed in DBLP, Google Scholar, EI-Compendex, Mathematical Reviews, SCImago, and Scopus), or published in the International Journal of Technology in Teaching and Learning (IJTTL), the Journal of Educational Technology Development and Exchange (JETDE), or Future in Educational Research (FER) (*selected registered papers will be recommended and invited to publish an extended version in these three journals, subject to revision according to the requirements of each journal).
